Rundown of Our Weight Loss Program
Our program lasts for one week and begins upon check-in where you will be given a workbook describing our methods, activities, schedule of events, meal times, and a large section for taking notes.
Guests are then able to check-in and unpack their belongings. On the day of arrival, each guest will be given a fitness assessment where weight and other fitness metrics are measured to give our staff an idea of fitness levels and attainable goals. Guests are then given a tour of the facility.
Visitors are then invited to dinner, and afterwards, a welcome orientation is given providing guests with an introduction to the program, policies, and expectations. After the orientation, guests are encouraged to interact with each other, make spa appointments, use the pool and gym facilities, make purchases or simply return to their room for an evening of relaxation.
Weight Loss Program Highlights
Daily routines are tentative and may have some seasonal changes, but the core-concepts remain the same. Regardless of which of our four resorts you stay, you will learn what it takes to live a healthier and happier life.
Once settled in, the week adheres to a schedule of daily routines where each of the five pillars of our program are exercised daily by our guests.
Our take on fitness is comprehensive and combines a mixture of cardiovascular exercise, strength training, and flexibility training. At the Biggest Loser Resort, fitness training will be both challenging, fun, and rewarding. Just a few of the activities and classes guests may participate in include:
- Outdoor hiking (depending on location)
- Stretching class
- Cardio circuit
- Spinning class
- Water aerobics and aqua games
- Indoor cycling
Don’t think that because you’re at a weight loss resort the food is going to be distasteful. On the contrary, the food is one of the highlights of the week as we have delectable cuisine that is gluten free, dairy and lactose free, with vegetarian and vegan options as well. We are also able to accommodate diabetics and those with particular food allergies so long as it is communicated before your stay.
Meals occur three times daily, tentatively at 7am, 12:15pm, and 6:30pm.
Our goal at the Biggest Loser Resort is to not only provide you with an unforgettable experience, but also provide you with the tools necessary for success as you move forward. At the resort, your down time and relaxation is important to achieving your physical goals. Taking time to rejuvenate, meditate, and partake in relaxing spa treatments is highly encouraged. Classes are given on how to reduce stress and further understand the mental side of fitness.
One of the most important things to remember when planning your stay at the Biggest Loser Resort, is that you will be in the company of people just like yourself. People that have struggled with health problems and are willing to make a step to change their lifestyle for the better.
