Are Caffeine based drinks served at the resort?
Biggest Loser Resort Niagara supports guests in establishing a “clean slate” through mild detoxification and elimination of unhealthy components in their diets. This requires greatly reducing dairy and gluten and eliminating processed foods, refined sugars, and unhealthy fats from the food they eat during their participation in the program. Mild detoxification also occurs with the consumption of more highly dense nutrient foods that contain more phytonutrients and fiber. Because caffeine is metabolized in the major detoxification organ called the liver, it can make it difficult for the body to regulate the normal detoxification process.
In addition to interfering with the detoxification process, caffeine can have other negative effects that may inhibit a guest’s performance and desired results as it can directly affect their ability to sleep/recover, increases stress hormones, and impacts digestion.
This does not mean that all caffeine is “bad” and that you cannot go back to enjoying caffeine in moderation once you go home. However, during your caffeine-free stay, you might be pleasantly surprised to see that it is possible not only to have more energy off caffeine but also to experience a higher amount of sustainable energy without it! As a guest, you will learn how to enjoy caffeine products at the optimal time and how to increase your energy levels without it.
